Aquatic Ecology Subprogram
The Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) has been developing Comprehensive Characterization Reports (CCR) for each of the watersheds undergoing an Integrated Watershed Management Planning (IWMP) process. These CCRs are intended to form the scientific basis for the creation of the IWMP. The CCR summarizes data collected over the course of a year (or more) within a particular watershed, including water quality, biology, physical habitat, land use, geology, soils, hydrology, and pollutant loading. These report are intended as compilations of background and technical documents and shall be periodically updated as additional field work or data analyses are completed.
